Best Wireless Unlimited Cell phone plan - A Month Later

Last month I told all of you about being reunited with my Smartphone.  I had found a cheaper wireless cell phone plan and I was excited to finally not have to pay so much!  For the past month as part of a Collective Bias Social Fabric Shopper Insight story I have been using Walmart's Family Mobile unlimited talk, text and web plan - all for the low cost of $40/month - that is the Best Wireless plan I have ever found.  You can see more about my experience in my Google + album.

Candy Crush addiction

I am addicted to this game of Candy Crush - I play it on my tablet, my computer and now my cell phone.  Honestly this game is a love/hate relationship - if you have played, you know why :)

Well I have now had my new plan for one month and I have to tell you I am still just as happy with the service and cost.  This plan is so much less expensive then my old plan and has so many more features.  I love that I can get on the internet whenever I need to.  Love that while I am at the park, pool, etc. with the kids this summer I can still check my email and when I am bored out of my mind because the kids want to stay in the pool 10 more minutes I can browse Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook - or most likely play Candy Crush - all the places I love.

Well I had many of you ask questions - and if one person has a question several people probably have the same question.  I have had the phone/plan a month now so I feel I can answer many of these questions

Whoa! That sounds too good to be true! My plan is up in July & I have been thinking of switching. What's the coverage like? I didn't know Walmart had a network.
A.  The coverage has been great.  I haven't had any dropped calls and everywhere I have taken my phone has always had coverage it has been great!

Really, unlimited talk text & internet! I might have to switch!

A. Yes, really unlimited talk, text & Internet  for $40/month - it has been fabulous!

Awesomeness! I am going to get this plan too! I don't even have a smart phone because of the cost! Now I can!
Question...someone told me that you need an iPhone to use Instagram...or to set up an account...do you just need a smartphone? Also, don't forget to download Pinterest app, I love it for my Kindle Fire! Thanks for this! You are a genius! :) Yay!
A. You do not need an iPhone to use Instagram - it can be used with any smartphone.  You should be able to use it on any iPhone and Android phone.  I also have downloaded the Pinterest app - love it!  Oh and I also downloaded Kindle onto my phone - so I can read from my tablet or phone! :)

This is definitely something I've been considering. When first looking on their website, it says "unlimited web" but the fine print said something about 1GB only. So I have a question...it is unlimited data each month right? It's just that after you go over 1GB it becomes 2G speeds instead of 3G?
A. The plan is Unlimited web.  The first 1GB is at the faster 3G speed and once you are over the first 1GB it just goes to the lower speed.  Still unlimited though.  Also if you know you are going to go over 1 GB and you really, really, really want the faster speed you can upgrade your account with addons each month.

I also love how I can go online to manage my account and pay my bill.  I also like the text reminder I receive when my bill is ready  - look at this low cost bill! I received a prorated bill for the month of May since I did not have it for the entire month of May.

You should totally check it out if the cost has been holding you back - seriously!!

Quick and Simple Strawberry Sauce

I love sharing this Strawberry Sauce recipe because it is so easy to make.  It is yummy on cake and especially cheesecakes!  I personally love to have it on my Strawberry Shortcakes.  I think what I love most about this recipe is its simplicity.
Quick and Simple Strawberry Sauce

To make this you will only need Strawberries and Sugar. Wash your strawberries (set a few strawberries to the side if you wish to garnish your dessert) and cut off the tops and any bruises. Quarter the strawberries and put in a bowl.  Next add some sugar - depending on how sweet your strawberries are I only add 1 to 2 Tbsp. of sugar.

Now I use my potato masher to smash up the strawberries and mix the sugar in.  You can mash it to your preference.  I like mine to be pretty mashed with a few bigger bits of strawberry.  Once everything is mashed up nicely place it the fridge until you need it.  I usually try to make this at least an hour before I need it so the sugar can fully dissolve.

This simple and quick sauce is really simple and I love that there really isn't much sugar added to it.

Simple Strawberry Sauce

I recently served this at my Bunco party and everyone loved it!

Popcorn Jars with cute Tags Tutorial

This post is brought to you by World Market.  All opinions are 100% mine.

As you know from my Bunco post, I just had such a fun Bunco party.  I had a blast decorating for the party and wanted a  "Going to the Movies" theme.  For this I wanted to have buttered popcorn and caramel popcorn available to my guests - and I wanted a cute way to display them.  So I made these cute Popcorn tags to put around some glass jars.  I am sharing the quick and easy tutorial below.

Decorations for my caramel popcorn and butter popcorn glass jars

Everyone loved my yummy treats and I just love how the popcorn glass jars turned out!

The idea popped in my head when I went to World Market .  I love this store!  You can read (and see more pictures) all about my shopping trip and bunco party in my Google+ Album.  Well when I went to World Market I found these cute popcorn boxes.
Popcorn boxes from World Market

The entire parties theme sprang from these cute boxes.  I then searched the rest of the store for ideas and found some big cute glass jars, perfect for holding popcorn!  So I bought them up and went home and made my cute tags.  I love how they turned out - so simple, yet cute and perfect for the party.

caramel popcorn and regular popcorn tags

Here is how I made them:

Supplies Needed:

  • Paper Cutter
  • Corner Rounder
  • Scrapbook Paper (I used yellow and black)
  • Paper hole puncher
  • Adhesive
  • Tulle or Ribbon (I used red tulle)
  • Letters - I used Black rubons but you could use stickers, vinyl, hand write it - really anything!
  • Cute glass Jars to hold the popcorn  - I used some Large Glass Jars from World Market
Let's Get Started!

1. Depending on the size of your jar cut the size of your tag.  Cut out your yellow tag first then make the black tag a bit bigger.  Using a corner rounder be sure to round all of your corners.  Using letters (I used rubons) add your title - Popcorn or Caramel Popcorn.

2. Now punch a hole in each side and run your tulle or ribbon through the holes.

3. Tie around your glass jar and fill with popcorn.  My caramel popcorn recipe is so yummy and delicious!

I also bought this wire basket from World Market that held the plates, napkins, utensils and straws - it was perfect for my party!

I just love how everything turned out!!  What's your favorite movie treat?  For me it is popcorn and frozen Junior Mints!

Disclosure: World Market kindly provided me with product for my party - all opinions are 100% mine!

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's June 100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop.  Collectively the design team and guest designers use over 100 different Cricut Cartridges in their projects during this hop.

Today I am sharing the Sweetheart Tshirt Makeover I made for my daughter.  For this project I used the Cricut Cartridge Summer Celebrations and Close To My Heart: Art Philosophy.

My daughter loves this shirt but it is too small!

So I cut the bottom part of the shirt off then sewed on the bottom part of a white T-shirt to make the shirt longer.

I used iron on vinyl for this project.  For the heart I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  For the word "Sweet" I used the Summer Celebrations cartridge (make sure to reverse the image).

Here is the finished shirt!

I loved how the iron on vinyl worked and my daughter just loves her new shirt!
