So once you know when you are going on your Disney Vacation you now need to book your trip. To save money we always drive instead of fly. So I don't have really any info on booking flights. What I want to discuss is booking your hotel and Disney package.
Since we are on a budget I checked several places before actually booking our Disney package.
*I looked into things seperatly at first. I looked for a hotel that fit our needs and was a good price. I then checked out several websites for Disney tickets.
*Next I checked out Costco and Sams for their package deals. I believe Sam's Club doesn't have Disney packages anymore.
*Third I looked at the website Get Away Today for their package deals. One of the kids brought a brochure home from school so I thought I would check it out.
After looking at all of these options I found the package deal from Get Away Today to be the most economic. For the time frame we picked, along with our hotel and ticket needs it was definatley the lowest price. They were also great to talk to and easy to work with on the phone!
One thing they offer - which I am sure many places offer - is an insurance of sorts if something goes wrong and you need to change your vacation. I think it is like $20 or something. Well I have always wondered if things really do go as smooth as you would hope/think if you ever do need to make a change in your plans.
Well, about a week after our family trip my brother was taking his family to Disneyland as well. They booked their vacation through Get Away Today like we did. Well my sister in law became very sick a couple of days before they were supposed to leave, and they had to change their package. From what I hear Getaway Today was easy to work with and they were able to change their package without any problems (they ended up going about 6 months later).
Of course any time I plan a trip I will research all of my options but I am pretty sure Get Away Today will be one of those options - and please know they did not ask me to write this post - in fact they don't even know I am. This is just my opinion.
So who do you use to book your Disney vactaion?
