Red White and Blue Stars

This post for red white and blue Stars is sponsored by American Crafts – All Opinions are 100% mine.

A couple of days ago I shared how to make Homemade Glitter Glue and today I am sharing some fun Red White and Blue Stars – So Patriotic! I can’t wait to decorate with them!

4th of July Stars

When I saw some wood stars at the store I new exactly what I wanted to do with them.  First I traced the stars on the back of my American Crafts glitter paper.  Once the star was traced I drew a second line about 1/4 of an inch on the inside.  I then cut out the star on the second line that I drew – this made the paper 1/4 inch smaller than the wood star.

Repeat the step for each star – I wanted 3 stars so I could have red, white and blue.

Can I just tell you how much I love this paper??!!  I love the thickness and sturdiness of it – plus the glitter is really nice looking and doesn’t flake off all over the place.

Now you need to paint your stars red white and blue.  Once the paint has dried glue the paper onto the stars.  I used Mod Podge to glue on the paper.

Now we want to add some cute embellishments.  I tied red, white and blue ribbon onto each star and then added a 3D Pebbles Stars from American Crafts to the center of the ribbon – I really like the touch this added.

4th of July Stars

I am so excited with how cute these stars turned out – perfect for the 4th of July and so super easy!
